BOUTIQUE BOARDING
One of the many benefits of boarding at Back40 Stables is the custom care your horse will receive on a daily basis. Most full board facilities have a “one size fits all” approach where your horse stays in a stall at night and is turned out during the day. But we understand that every horse is unique and has different needs, patterns and feeding schedules. Our limited number of stalls lets you can rest assured knowing that your horse will have personalized attention by our professional staff. We pride ourselves in offering a peaceful yet fun & secure environment for both horses and riders!

RIDING TRAILS:
Our favorite feature of Back40 are the miles of trails around the property! Trail riding with your horse is a relaxing and therapeutic way to unwind and escape from pressure of life for both rider and horse. Here we have multiple terrains to experience, from wooded flat trails to hills and creek crossings to pasture strolls.
Want a riding buddy? Our group calendar can help schedule ride times with fellow boarders.
Benefits of Trail Riding:
Relieves Stress for you and lets our horses be horses in a natural environment
Ability to enjoy your horse without competition and establish Trust
Desensitizes your horse- they become used to sights and sounds
Builds Muscle, Stamina & Coordination- up hill, down hill, walking through creeks all builds endurance
Teaches Independence-the horse is under your control and your control only
Peaceful way to socialize with other horse lovers
Helps avoid injuries by not stressing the same parts of the body in the same way repeatedly

PROFESSIONAL TRAINING:
What a better way to get the most out of your relationship with your horse than to take time to train with them! We partner with top trainers in all disciples, for all ages and levels of riding. We can help arrange lessons in the arena, trails or just hacking around in the pasture. Personalized one-on-one service is geared to suit your unique needs and also aid in building a bond with your horse. When training horses, consistency is key!
First time horse owner? No problem! First time owners can especially benefit from weekly/ monthly training with a professional. Horse ownership can be intimidating; horsemanship, equine care, vaccines, farriers, tack, feeding, supplements oh my! We can guide you through all the uncertainties and help you grow into a confident & knowledgeable horse owner in a safe & fun environment.
Is your horse hard to catch or moving while mounting and don’t have time to work them? No worries, you can get a trainer to help with that too. We can schedule a trainer to come get the minor kinks out of your horses behavior under our supervision.
Feel free to bring your own trainer, or use one of our recommended favorites.
